Scotts Valley High's Cross Country teams are back at it and we couldn't be happier! It's a great day to be a Falcon! Shmuel Thaler
****ALL STUDENT VOLUNTEER SLOTS ARE FULL! ALL WE NEED NOW ARE TWO ADULTS, ONE ON SAT. 4/24 FROM NOON TO 3 AND ONE ON SUN. 4/25 FROM 9 TO NOON.**** Community service opportunity! The Falcon Club will be hosting another Goodwill Donation Drive the weekend of April 24th and 25th in the high school parking lot. We are looking for 4 students each shift and each day has 2 shifts. We are also looking for adult chaperones for each shift. The students will be helping deliver donat...ed items from the staging area to the truck, logging in how many cars deliver donations and handing our receipts. The adults will be there to ensure a high level of customer service from the student volunteers and add support where needed. I chaperoned the last (one day event) myself with 4 dedicated volunteers and it was so much fun! 6 hours was too much with so many donations but, it is a nice way to spend the day. What did you get as a gift this holiday season? I got a super-duper Ninja blender to make my morning smoothies and evening soups. I am so excited! Now, what do I do with my old blender? Hmm.I wonder.Wait! I know! I'll put it into a box along with all the rest of the things we have been collecting over these past 10 months and drop it off at the Goodwill Donation Drive on January 30th from 10am to 4pm at Scotts Valley High School! What a wonderful idea! They are located at 555 Glenwood Drive, Scotts Valley. Clean your closets and support the SVHS Falcon Club at the same time. It’s a great time to be a Falcon! Ta-caw!
