Today we say "see ya later" to long time SVH employee RVT Dee For those of you who do not know Dee, she has been employed with SVH for 17 years! Starting off as a tech assistant and working her through school to be an RVT! We often kept this gem of a woman hidden away from the public, Just Kidding!! She mostly worked in the back building performing dental cleanings and taking care of orthopedic patients regularly, as well as general patient care for our hospitalized and surgical patients. Dee, you are truly one of a kind, just like the purple peacock on your cake! Your compassion, kindness, and dedication to your patients and fellow technicians will be greatly missed by all. As you move on to your next adventure we ask that you not be a stranger and wish you good luck! (P.s. I'm not crying! You're crying!)

This right here is why we take chances on little broken dogs. We got a message from a networker asking if we could help with a couple of medical dogs. One of th...em being Charm now Ember. She had a fractured hip and both back legs were broken. We said yes so she could be evaluated by our vets Silverado Veterinary Hospital Napa Valley. She has had a few surgeries and we weren’t sure the outcome. But we received this video yesterday and today she is going home with one of her vets to be fostered and recover. She has a long road and her vet bills will be high. But she is sweet and happy and so glad we took a chance on a little black dog . All of your donations through out the year goes directly to the animals in our care. We are 100% volunteer ran. We rely on donors and our fosters to keep up the good work.

Yup, we will be re-opening on Monday the 21st!

PHOENIX INFO: Phoenix- 4 years old, k...ink in his tail, no chip, and is neutered. Phoenix is a shorthair orange tabby. He was last seen 11/9/30 off Willow Avenue in Alta Heights in Napa, CA He it’s special prescription food so he can’t be eating just any ol cat food. His vaccinations are up to date.
