Why we recommend fluoride treatment: Tooth decay is caused by the combination of sugar and bacteria that causes acid in the mouth. Young children have not yet developed regular dental hygiene routines to combat tooth decay. Studies show that regular treatment with the mineral fluorine(fluoride) has been shown to reduce the risk of tooth decay by 40% by strengthening tooth enamel. Fluoride is found in city drinking water and many children’s toothpastes. However, dental treatments of fluoride are stronger and better at targeting the teeth. Dear Patients, Although our state has regressed back to the COVID-19 purple tier, this does not affect dental services. We are open for business and have implemented all the guidelines and safety procedures the CDC requires for practicing dentistry. -We ask that only one person accompany the patient to the appointment to limit the amount of people we have in our waiting room.... -All clinical and front office staff wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment, according to their role in the practice. -Our lobby and common areas are clearly marked for 6 feet social distancing and are being sanitized throughout the day. -We take temperatures of all staff and patients when entering the practice. -We require all patients and anyone accompanying them to wear a face mask properly over the nose and mouth.
