So proud! Surf & Turf's 14 & Under junior team just got back from the USTA National Tournament, and finished in second place! Also, Eshan Talluri won the boys' sportsmanship trophy. Congrats to all the kids, who are pictured below left to right with Coach Alex Levie: Frank Todd, James Susman, Eshan Talluri, James Singer, Noah Kay, Max Tokeman, Jessica Walker, Avi Anklesaria, and Rachal Jacks.

Congrats to Wimbledon Champs Murray, Bartoli, Hsieh/Peng, and Bryan/Bryan for their Wimbledon wins. It was a thrilling tournament on many levels. What was your favorite Wimbledon moment?

Congrats again to Katherine Nguyen, who won her quarterfinal match in three sets today. She moves on to the semi-finals next weekend at the 97th Annual La Jolla Tennis Championships. Way to go!

Congrats to Katherine Nguyen, who trains at our club, for knocking off the number one seed in 4.5 singles at the 97th Annual La Jolla Tennis Championships in three tough sets. She plays in the quarterfinals tomorrow. Congrats Katherine! We are so proud of you!

The Surf and Turf 14 and under Jr. Team Tennis team won the SoCal sectionals! We are so proud of them. They will play in the national tournament in October in South Carolina: Front row L-R, Max Tokeman, James Singer, Noah Kay, mascot Jayden Walker, Colin Hawkins. Surf and Turf has started a junior travel team. Coaches Alex and Stan are taking young players to nearby tournaments for them to improve their match skills. Three tournaments are scheduled for this summer. Contact Alex for more info.

Coach Matt is creating a ladder to rank junior players that will start next week. If your young player is interested, please contact the pro shop.

Thanks to everyone who came out to TennisFest. You helped make our free event a huge success. We saw everyone having fun playing, checking out new equipment, and interacting with coaches. Also, a very special thank you to 4-time Wimbledon champ Karen Hantze Susman who came by to say hello.
