Join our Summit Community on Wednesday, October 28th from 6:00pm-7:00pm across the states of Washington and California as we come together for our first Community Forum. Our Community Forums are a recurring and dedicated space for conversations about race, equity, and the ways in which our network is working to dismantle racism and other forms of bias and oppression that occur on individual, intrapersonal, and institutional levels within our culture. This month’s forum featur...es keynote speaker, Summit Sierra Modern World History teacher Beth Portree. Ms. Portree will present her work on Anti-Bias and Anti-Racist teaching. She will focus on the intersection of brain/behavior science and culturally responsive teaching. If you like to join the webinar at 6 PM on Wednesday. Every day, Summit makes time for students to connect with teachers one-on-one so they can feel confident in their progress and knowledge.
