Well today was the day! We got our fish! These brown trout we will raise till May!! This is such a fun project! The kids love watching them.

I wonder how many people have been employed at Sugarloaf Cottages since they opened for business on Labor Day Evening way back in 1951? Here's an article from the Shasta Historical Society's 1988 Covered Wagon that describes that holiday! "The place opened on Labor Day evening of 1951 - it was an exciting affair. Jo and I had used a hand-operated printing press at Renfro's to produce invitations.
