Getting ready during shelter in place is no easy feat, but here are my tips and tricks on how to get it done. We’re all in this together!

IMPORTANT: Beginning Monday, 3/30, Muni will discontinue all Muni Metro and subway service in SF, until further notice. Muni Metro service: Subway service wi...ll be suspended and replaced by bus substitutions. The following stations will be closed:West Portal, Forest Hill, Castro, Church and Van Ness. Downtown stations shared with BART will remain open during BART operating hours. However, the Muni section will be closed at the following stations:Civic Center, Powell, Montgomery and Embarcadero. Bus shuttles will provide service on all Muni Metro lines.Bus shuttles will use the same stop locations as the Early Morning Metro Bus Service. The interval times on weekdays will be:10-minutes for the N Bus. 12-minutes for all other lines. The interval times on weekends will be:15-minutes on all lines. These are such trying times. This is the amazing Sir Francis Drake Hotel on Powell Steet today. I can't help but think what my mother or father would think to s...ee this today...just stunning. When I was a little girl Dad and Mom woukd take us to Sunday brunch at the Sir Francis Drake. White gloves and black pattent Mary Janes and all! What a vibrant Union Square and Saint Francis Hotel where mom would take me for tea (even though I wanted to be riding my horse) But my mother and grandmother loved it. When Dad was Mayor we were always at both these hotels for meetings and breakfasts...when I was elected...I would have breakfast meetings with all the labor unions and businesses in the area..at Sears across the street...best Swedish Pancakes in the world! I am glad my mom and dad never saw this...I am so sorry my kids and grandchildren are seeing it. I can only hope that all of this nightmare results in a San Francisco that we all know, the one that rises up out of the ashes to be the great Lady she always has been! Stay safe everyone.
