When I first met @ahliayoga at a teacher training we were hosting a few years ago, I thought this chick can’t be for real, no one is this nice!! Let me tell you - I was wrong. Ahlia is THAT nice. I thought this definition was perfect for her - she is absolutely free of deceit and operates from genuine feelings all the time . ... Professionally, she is one of the most talented yoga teachers I have ever seen. Inversions, balances, Sanskrit, the chakras, Ahlia is a rare instrument of the true origins of yoga. She is both philosophically and physically informed and educated. Beyond yoga, her physicality is truly superior in other athletic disciplines- when I first took over the studio I reevaluated the current staff to see what I needed to adjust. I gave Ahlia some notes early on that frankly would have been very challenging for anyone to immediately implement. Honestly, I wasn’t sure if she would still fit as a spin instructor. Literally, the NEXT class I took of hers - just a week later - she had FIXED ALL IT. A two minute conversation had been completely manifested in her teaching! I have never seen anyone do that!! It was evidence to me of a deeper talent that this little fairy of a person contained. Personally, Ahlia and her husband are incredibly philanthropic, spending many weekends volunteering at their church taking donations. She also made me start my podcast finally!!! I was saying it over and over and one day during quarantine, she said, Enough. Give me your phone I’m downloading the app now and I’ll be in early next week to start recording your first episode.
