Hunter has been adopted
This is such an honor
Fergus came to us emergently last week. He is probably well over 12 years old and has suffered years of neglect. He most likely has both eye and ear infections as well as skin infections. There is something going on with potentially his spine as he is not able to walk either. He is going to the vet tomorrow morning (Jan 15th) for exam, xrays, medication and long term treatment plan. We will update you all as we know more. He is currently with one of our best fosters and is learning trust and love.
Welcome the newest pup to SOSDOGRESCUE This little man was brought into the shelter in horrible condition!!! He is unable to walk, his legs curl into him, he is able to drag himself a little. He eats great!! We are thinking he may need hospice!! He’s a tiny little guy at 5 lbs. He’s in good hands now . He’s off to foster .. We’ll keep you updated
The kids at the ranch are eating more during these cold winter months. These faces are begging for more yummy dog food...lol Amazon Wish List: https://a.co/fIiW9FR
Roger the First has been adopted
Macy #SOSDogRescue
Roger went for his puppy check this week. He received his 3rd DHPP booster, was de-wormed again and repeated his fecal to make sure all his wormies are gone. He also had his ears cleaned and medicated as he has developed a minor ear infection. This bill was $162.00. He is schedule to be neutered, microchipped and receive his rabies vaccination on December 1st. This bill is estimated at $338.00. He is now almost 13 weeks old and almost 2 1/2 lbs. He is so close to finding his forever family, we just need a little help getting him ready.
Happy Veterans Day to all the Veterans both past and present. And a special shoutout to all of our Veteran Alumni Adopters. Thank you for your service and sacrifice!
Freedom is still looking for her furever home! She is learning something new everyday. She is very easy to training, if you put the time into working with her. She does very well on a schedule. She enjoys car rides, fetch, playing with her Foster sister, training, walks, and attention from her person!
Toby is headed to the vet in the morning. He is scheduled to be neutered, get his rabies vaccination and have his eye examined. We are hoping his eye is just infected from neglect. He has been responding to the meds already.
Snug as a Bug... Roger the First, now 2 lbs, is keeping warm during this cold front.
Join us in welcoming Toby into the SOS family. Toby is about 4 years old and sweet as can be. We picked him up from Kern County Animal Services earlier this week. He was dirty, matted, had ticks and is battling a pretty serious infection in his right eye. His foster mommy has already gotten him cleaned up, on a good diet and administering his 2 eye medications. He gets along with dogs and kids and loves to snuggle. Make sure to follow Toby's journey and stay tuned for after pictures of this sweet boy.
Peep has been adopted
We would like to officially introduce you to Mandy & Macy! All of our pups are special but these two are extra special. Mandy (Brown) is SOS dog #99 and Macy (Gray & White) is SOS dog #100. you heard that right... In 2 1/2 years you guys have helped us save 100 dogs in Kern County! These 2 girls are both suffering from URI but the meds seem to be working and they are getting better day by day. Both of these girls have had way too many babies in their 1-3 years on earth but they are scheduled for spay on January 5th and will never again have to deal with midnight feedings and diaper changes. In the meantime they are safe and learning how to be dogs. Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped us reach this amazing milestone. Here's to saving the next 100!

Just got back from dropping Ginger off for her spay appointment. Spay & Neuter is so very important in a dog's life. It's not just about controlling the unwanted pet population but it truly is better for your dog's health and longevity. Please help us help Ginger!
