4th Sunday after the Epiphany Follow Me - What Have You to do With Us? Preacher: Pastor Emil Sazon

St. Paul United Methodist Church of Fremont 16.01.2021

This Sunday is the 4th Sunday after Epiphany and we continue our series study, FOLLOW ME, and our theme this Sunday is the question of the man with the unclean ...spirit, "WHAT HAVE YOU YOU TO DO WITH US, JESUS OF NAZARETH?" This question has specific implications to the one who is asking this question as we read in the Gospel Mark 1:21-28. And for us, asking this question, what do you think is the significant implication to all of us? The unclean (evil) spirits knew Jesus and also knew that they will be destroyed in due time. But for us, Jesus is everything because we are everything to Jesus! Amen! Join us tomorrow Sunday, January 31, 2021, 10:00 AM @https://www.facebook.com/stpaulfremont See more

Our condolences and prayers to the family of MRS. ROSA T. DE GUZMAN (May 26, 1930 - January 27, 2021). Mrs. De Guzman is the mother of Concesa "Connie" De Guzman-Umali, and grandmother of Praise Umali-Pinto and Pam Umali-Gozun. At the moment there is no scheduled plan for viewing or interment service as the family plans to bring her remains to the Philippines when they can safely able to travel. You may extend your condolences and symphaties to the family: Connie Umali, c/o St Paul UMC, 33350 Peace Terrace Fremont CA 94555

ALL SAINTS' SUNDAY Observance I November 1, 2020 @ 7PM Virtual Service Our church will hold a separate service on November 1st from our Drive-in Service (10AM) on the same day. The service will serve to honor members of our church who have died during the past year. It will also include loved ones (your family members, non-members) and friends very dear to you during the past year (Note: Only those who died from Nov. 2019 October 2020 will be included on the list). But... of course the rest of our loved ones who died prior will have a special place in our prayers during the service. We have requested the families & friends of our long-time professing members (full-members) of the church like Larry Hu, Neva Lance, Tino Molina and David & Luan Bland to provide a short video remembering them, it will be played during the service. If you know of others not mentioned here please let us know, so that we can contact their families to join us and participate in this solemn observance. Kindly email ([email protected]) the information & materials we need such as a picture(s) of the departed, date of birth and death. A short obituary will help if available. The earlier we will have the information and materials will provide us with ample time to prepare and come out with a very meaningful observance.

Laity Sunday is a special time when the lay people of the church often pause to consider their varied gifts for ministry, inside and outside the walls of the church building. Please join us online (FB & Youtube Live) on Sunday October 18, 2020 at 10 AM. The sermon will focus on Exodus 33:12-23, the story where Moses feels on the edge of his leadership challenge and his willingness to witness to the glory of God in the midst of unfaithfulness and idolatry of his people. Message Title: A Leader on the Edge - Seeing God's Glory.

The service is a rebroadcast of our livestream service this morning, as we experience technical difficulties during the earlier broadcast. Again we apologize for the inconvenience it brought you following the earlier broadcast. We hope that you will find an appropriate time during the week when you can use this service as a moment of reflection and solitude with God. Keep safe and stay healthy. May God bless us everyone!
