Attention FLACC Member, As you all are aware, we are all dealing with extraordinary times. At this time, we cannot hold a large meeting. Our charter calls for a general meeting and nominations to the board on the 2nd Tuesday of July, due to COVID-19 restriction we are precluded from holding this annual meeting. Our board members have graciously volunteered to serve in their current positions for another year. Please continue the good work in our campaign against LEAPS. So FERC is moving forward with the EIS (environmental Impact Study) for LEAPS, they posted today the request for comments by August 17,2020 for the EIS. They will NOT be holding any public scoping meetings on the Project due to Covid 19... how convenient for Nevada Hydro. I will upload the letters and documents that were posted by Ferc. So now is the time for all of us to refresh our memory's of this project and start the fight once again... It looks like the Castaic Equestrian Fire is caused by powerlines. The fire started in an area described as not accessible by humans. The fire up at Fairfield was caused by a helicopter checking power lines. The helicopter hit a power pole, killing 3 power company employees. Its very windy today. Please be carefull out there.
