(Psalm 116:7, 15) Between the joy of the arrival of our beloved, Hegumen Father Louka Sidarous to heaven, and our sorrow for physical separation, we bid him farewell with the hope of the resurrection with the twenty four priests. Fr. Louka Sidarous is the angel of St. Mercurious and St. Abraam Coptic Orthodox Church in Torrance, Califronia, and St. George Church in sporting, Alexandria, previously. We always remember his love and sacrifice for more than 50 years. Fr. Louka served God with love and meekness. He served His children and His people as an awesome example of the good shepherd who gives himself, his life and his time for the flock. We never forget his deep sermons with simple vocabulary that comfort, support, make us happy, and give us confidence in the Father’s love for the sinner. We cherish his writings and books that shows us the love for the Holy Fathers that grew in us from a young age. And as servants, we learn from them and use his wisdom in many of our sermons and articles. On behalf of St Mary Coptic Orthodox Church in Victorville California’s, FrMichael Ibrahim, Church Board of Deacons, Servants and Congregation, we offer our deepest condolences to the beloved Father H.
