Look back at our struggle for freedom, trace our present day's strength to it's source, And you will find that man's pathway to glory is strewn with the bones of a horse.

Thank you to all those who have donated to save Maverick. All donations are going to the cost of getting him immediate medical treatment and transporting him from AL to our rescue in CA. The kind lady that is quarantining Maverick is working overtime to get him strong enough to ship. He still has a snooty nose, so the battle has yet to be won, but we are all fighting to save his life ! Just to answer a question that one of our followers asked about worming him....he cant be wormed until he is cleared of shipping fever and much stronger. If you would like to help us save Maverick, you can donate at paypal.me/stfrancisrescue Thank you for caring!!

Maverick is feeling better and showing some spunk. Looks like the medication is working. We want him to be strong enough to tolerate the trailer ride from AL. We still could use some help with his transportation cost. All donations are tax deductable Thank you for your support! Paypal.me/stfrancisrescue

Hello FB friends! As you know we are pulling a Saddlebred gelding from a kill pen in AL. We are able to also bring a beautiful gaited horse on the trailer with Maverick. But we need to determine if there is any interest in adopting him from us, once he gets here, as we are short on space. We will do a complete vet check and take care of feet, teeth, etc. If we have the opportunity to get him into a loving home we will definately move forward!

We need help with Maverick's transportation. He is in need of good food and supplements which we are prepared to give him. All we need to do is get him to our rescue facility in CA. Please consider helping us get him home. Nothing too small! Paypal.me/stfrancisrescue.com

I've been thinking I had a tough summer. Lost my good old mare, my boob, our 14 year old Jack Russell, and my hair! Then, yesterday I went out to meet Thomas wh...o has been riding my horse the last few days in the Semper Fi Jinx McCain horsemanship program. He laughs and says it's easier to tell you which of his body parts he's not lost! One arm, one eye and his torso is all he has left after being blown up in a foreign country fighting for our right to be free. But, he's so grateful to get to ride an untethered horse on something other than than dead level ground. Humbled? You better believe it! Thank you to the Semper Fi Fund/ American Fund for teaching these physically & emotionally wounded warriors that their lives matter and giving them purpose to carry on. Thank you warriors for placing your lives on the line to defend the freedoms we often take for granted. Thank you Thomas and thank you God for Sunday ( my horse)!
