Here’s to failing fast, failing often, and never failing the same way twice. Sometimes we uncover what we do want out of an area of life through finding out what we don’t want. As I end one relationship and move forward, I don’t question my gut or my heart. I’m seeing failure as one step closer to success. Re-discovering the feeling of being alone, but not lonely

Something about living in California that makes me feel like all things are possible. Even my wildest dreams feel within an arms reach. Perhaps it’s my mindset or my mindset shifting from fear to trust. Thinking about the week ahead and my latest mantra, fear is a choice - @willsmith #stephyoga

DO MORE, BE MORE, HAVE MORE. What a trap. When I came up with the idea for Steph Yoga, I based it on a concept known as essentialism. I asked myself what are the most essential moves women need to perform in order to get in the best shape of their lives. I forced myself to allow only what is absolutely ESSENTIAL to be a part of the program. We thrive in time constraints, which is why I limit the amount of time needed to workout to 45 minutes 3x a week. The enemy of motivation is never seeing results. Steph Yoga yields results #stephyoga #workoutdifferently

One of my favorite things about teaching yoga is hearing students excitement over the changes they’ve made in their bodies Today after class ended, my girl, Patty, former member of the pancake ass club said, I don’t know what I’d do without this class. While I was home, people who I hadn’t seen in a while, commented on how my butt is getting bigger. Music to my ears. Perhaps this is a strange example, but seeing people feel stronger, happier, and confident in their bodies makes my heart so full Teaching tomorrow at 8:45 AM and 6 PM #stephyoga #happymonday #flowlift

I used to think meditation and reading took time, but what I’ve come to realize is those two activities together give you time. Time to think about your next best step in life, business, and allow for your creative juices to flow. Today I spent the first 2+ hours of my day phone-less; reading, meditating, and journaling. This was once a ritual for me and it feels so good to get back into it #stephyoga #morningroutine #meditation

How do you avoid burn out? Or specifically yoga teacher burnout? Teaching yoga and running an online yoga business has been a dream, setting my own schedule, and working on projects that I value and that I can get lost in for hours brings me such purpose and joy. I can’t say it enough I am just so thankful for this weirdly awesome job. The flipside of that is pretty predictable. This job has been an unexpected journey that can lead to serious burnout. I don’t actually get p...aid an hourly wage, and if I did, it would be a whopping $0.12/hour. What has helped me to combat this feeling of burnout is having a specific vision of where this work is leading me to. Because without a vision, the work feels like some kind of excessive burden, repeated over time that becomes a heavy, heavy weight on my shoulders. This weight eventually gets to the point where I can’t or don’t want to move forward anymore. Revisiting my vision, and continuing to ask myself: What am I really trying to do here? Is the purpose of this yoga business to serve my audience and inspire them to do yoga and get in the best shape of their lives so in turn, become the best version of themselves? Or is this just a fun little side project? I do well with short little phrases or mantras that I can repeat over and over in my head. When I worked a full-time job and was feeling the burnout burden, one of my extremely wise co-workers would ask me, did you get paid today? I’d think to myself yes. And feel a weight lifted because my performance didn't dictate my pay scale. Now, it’s SO extremely different, so it's taken a little mental bending and a bit of rewriting my definition of success to come up with this phrase: did I get 1% better today? Knowing that I am at least 1% closer to my vision of this yoga empire where people can go and workout and be a part of a tribe of like-minded yoga humans, keeps me moving forward.

Do you think I can add 500 users to Steph Yoga in 30 days?! For my July goals, I am running an experiment to see if I can help 500 people transform their bodies on www.stephyoga.com. Focusing all of my energy on building Steph Yoga because I am SO SO SO ready to teach other yoga instructors how to create a thriving online yoga business. BUT at the same time I want to make sure if I commit to teaching yoga instructors the business side of things, they will 10000% achieve the same results I have seen. So, I told myself once there are 500 users in Steph Yoga, I can confidently show my yoga teaching friends how to replicate this process and create an online yoga business of their own. Here goes nothin’

Embracing all of the best summer veggies in this salad Risking sounding annoyingly healthy, but after a week away, there is nothing I love more than a salad chock-full of veggies enjoyed on the ground of my apartment #stillhavenofurniture #goodfoodgoodmood #yum
