The Terrace View from inside Ocean View Terrace

The UCLA Jules Stein Eye Institute Project has been awarded a 2017 Westside Urban Forum Honor Design Award! With a sparkling renovation complete. The eponymous 90,000 SF Stein Eye Institute stands as an enduring institution dedicated to vision. The brief presented numerous issues to be resolved. The building was well detailed and maintained; however, UCLA recognized the need for sustainable improvements.

Ocean View Terrace is now open at UCSD! In addition it has been awarded a 2017 AIA San Diego Design Award! A renovation of a student lounge and dining hall well known for having the best ocean view on campus, the expansion replaced a 26 year old existing servery style restaurant. The existing exterior envelope was extended to capture more interior space. The view to the ocean was carefully considered from all angles.

The arrival of the Laneway in Santa Anita Westfield Mall in Arcadia, home to the 626 Night Market, Din Tai Fung, and other exceptional artisanal dining experiences found along Baldwin Avenue, marks the continuing effort to bring high quality food destinations for avid food lovers, and critics. Serving as a connection from the recently renovated interior shopping mall to the newer exterior Promenade, th...e Laneway establishes an avenue for shoppers to easily traverse between the two venues. Provocative street art is installed to create social opportunities to interact with art, food, drink, and the ubiquitous pursuit of the viral selfie. New food stops include Matcha Matcha, EMC, Side Chick, the Backhouse, Uncle Tetsu and more. Opened today September 1, with an official event on the first week of November.

Westfield Santa Anita Mall Food Alley

Stenfors Architects design a 13,500 sf renovation of an existing servery style restaurant and dining area on the 5th level of the Oceanview Terrace in UCSD, including total refurbishment and expansion of interior space as well as a complete overhaul of the mechanical and addition of HVAC and a new kitchen to fit the client's new dining concept.
