Extended #renewableenergy tax credits have been included in a $1.4 trillion federal spending package. Energy storage language was also included in the relief package: the #BetterEnergyStorageTechnologyAct (#BEST) authorizes $1 billion over 5 years for federal investments into energy storage R&D. The #solar #investmenttaxcredit (#ITC) will stay at 26% for two more years while the #wind industry also received a limited extension of its production tax credit. Stem's Athena #energystorage services platform is the analytical engine behind adding storage to renewables. If existing or new #solarprojects expand to include #wind, #evchargingstations, #fuelcells, etc., the #storagesystem will operate as a central command center to manage and optimize all resources.
