SAFETY SAFETY SAFETY!!!!! That was initially why we enrolled our now 3 1/2 year-old son two years ago. For the first year-and-a-half, he went twice a week year-round. Now he attends once a week, except summer. It made a HUGE difference in his water awareness. He is a confident and strong swimmer now. He can swim and keep up with kids twice his age. As he gets older, we look forward to learning advanced swimming techniques. I watch the older students and I am amazed at how well they swim at young ages. Some of you may already know Kelli! Kelli, the owner of Starfish Swim School was inspired to teach After competing on swim teams as a child and then taking the WSI (WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR) classes at 18, she worked for the City of Rocklin and the City of Lincoln teaching Lifeguarding courses and safety classes. Over the past 25 years she has taught in various programs, as well as at her home during the summers. In 2007 she decided to ‘take the plunge’ and open her own Swim School. Her goal has always been to help children learn swimming and safety skills.

4 year old Katelynn on her 4th lesson. Katelynn came to us shy and a little hesitant to put her head under water but she made amazing progress just after 3 lessons! Way to go Katelynn!
