Starboard Community Library

"Starboard Community Library" is now open!... 24/7/365... DVD's/Books/Board Games will be available to *borrow* and SCL is accepting of donations of such. Will have a collection of shells to choose from as a "thank you" for your kind donation. SCL is Located at 466 Chestnut Ave Carlsbad CA 92008. The theme is "...for Kids of all Ages..". Our aim is to have as much media as possible with a rotating inventory of books. We'll featured Classics that we grew up with and that kids ...would enjoy. It would bring opportunity to bridge the gap of young and old and possibly create a reference/experience to share.... (probably reaching there) Will also have a binder of local services contacts. If you sew, give music lessons, elder care babysitting etc will have a place for you to list it. If you are looking for a local service, just take a picture (t'll las longer..) of the card/contact info with your smart phone. There are a lot of books on the attached list I have not read , or have not read in decades, that I would love to read again... Any excuse *not* to turn on the TV, or at least have something enriching on it to watch. The supplies are a little anemic right now but am hoping to pick a lot up at thrift stores and by way of donations.... Once the depository is over full, will rotate inventory, take a picture of the week's "catch" and post it to "Starboard Community Library". To help kick start donations, I may have potted succulents, available for a small donation , to help fill the sails with trade winds and get us on course for adventure... (Corny, you'll have to used to a lot of nautical jokes).. Donations we are looking for - Classic "top(under R rated) 100 books/Movies we should read/see" (from any list is fine) - Classic Board games (monopoly, chess, Risk etc) Regards, See more

Welcome to "Starboard Community Library" This is your living library to borrow from and donate to. If we are successful on returns and donated items, we’ll add more DVD’s and old time Board Games. If you have DVD’s, Books (especially young adults and children’s) or board games collecting dust in your closet, consider donating! When this experiment grows and have an inventory, we’ll rotate weekly and post a picture of new items.... We also plan on having a sign up sheet for small local services by people, for people in our little village.
