Today the church commemorates the life and witness of St. Teresa of Avila who died on this day in 1582. Christ has no body now but yours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. Yours are the eyes through which he looks compassion on this world. Yours are the feet with which he walks to do good. Yours are the hands through which he blesses all the world. Yours are the hands, yours are the feet, yours are the eyes, you are his body. Christ has no body now on earth but yours.

On this day 20 years ago, Pastor Jim was installed as pastor of St. Paul's. Bishop Paul W. Egertson of the Southwest CA Synod presided and Pastor Susan Briehl was the preacher. Thanks be to God for the means of grace, the hope of glory, and the promise of the gospel!
