Our annual Great Debate between the College Democrats and the Hornet Republicans was a success! The debaters did a great job, and our SSIS director Jay Passi did an amazing job as the moderator!

The annual Great Debate is almost here! This Thursday in the Hinde Auditorium in the Union at 4:30, the College Democrats and the Hornet Republicans will be facing off on political issues on local, state, federal, and international levels. We will also have time for audience questions, so you can get the answers to issues that matter to you! No matter how knowledgeable about the issues you are, everyone can enjoy and learn from an spirit discussion about issues that affect all of us. Hope to see you there!

Hello everyone, the SSISJC will be meeting this Thursday, October 26 at 5:00 pm in the Maidu Room on the third floor of the University Union. We will continue planning the Great Debate between the College Democrats and the Hornet Republicans, which will be held on Thursday, November 9, in the Hinde Auditorium at 4:30. We will also be discussing the SSIS Club Kickoff, the semesterly club fair of all the clubs in the college on November 14 and 15 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, location pending. Hope to see you all there!

Our second general meeting will be held tomorrow, Thursday, October 12, in the Miwok Room on the third floor of the University Union at 5:00. In this meeting, we will be electing a Vice President of Outreach and a Secretary, then discussing the SSIS Club Kickoff and further events. Hope to see you all there!

Hello! We will be having our first general meeting of the semester this Thursday, September 28th from 5:00 to 6:00 in the Auburn Room on the third floor of the University Union. We will give an introduction to the organization, getting to know each other, going over open officer positions, and talking about our first event, the annual SSIS Club Kickoff. Hello Hornets! The Environmental Student Organization (ESO) will be hosting a movie night featuring, "Gasland" on Wednesday, November 16th at 7:30PM. It will be located at the Walnut room in the Union. Pizza will be provided. So bring some popcorn and enjoy the night!

Hey Hornets! This week, on Tuesday, the African Student Association will be having a fundraiser. For only $5 you can participate in their Zumba Party. It will be from 6pm-7:30pm in the Vineyard Room, which is in the WELL. Hope you can make it!
