SRJC Theatre Arts Spring Auditions 2021! Friday, January 22 - 5:30 PM Saturday, January 23 - 12:00 PM Sunday, January 24 Call Backs 1 9 PM... She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms by Qui Nguyen Directed by Leslie McCauley A Dungeons and Dragons comedy! Age range: 15 to 30. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks are encouraged to audition. Non-binary actors will be considered for all roles. Hip hop/cheerleading dance skills needed for Evil Tina and Evil Gabbi. Rehearsals start: January 26, 2021. Performances: March 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 2021 (5 live streamed performances) overcome a student created performance Directed by Reed Martin A devised play giving voice to our community experience of the past three challenging years! We are seeking actors, improvisors, comedians, dancers, musicians, and poets. Experience is not required. Rehearsals start: February 2, 2021. Friday, January 22 - 5:30 PM Saturday, January 23 - 12:00 PM Sunday, January 24 Call Backs 1 9 PM She Kills Monsters: Virtual Realms... by Qui Nguyen Directed by Leslie McCauley Dungeons and Dragons! Having lost her family in a tragic accident, Agnes Evans begins the painful task of packing her teenage sister’s room. She soon realizes how little she knew her sister when she discovers a scenario Tilly wrote for the role-playing game Dungeons and Dragons. With the help of a dungeon master, Agnes embarks on a quest to learn more about the sister she’s lost and soon finds herself in a world where fantasy and reality collide. Inhabited by nasty ogres, homicidal fairies, and slacker monsters, this imaginative comedy is both a wild adventure and a touching exploration of loss and acceptance. Rehearsals start: January 26, 2021. (Rehearsals will be held in the evenings, Tu-F & Sun.) Performances: March 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 2021 (5 live streamed performances) overcome/a devised play a student created performance Directed by Reed Martin Please join us for this exciting new theatrical work created by our students. This devised play will combine acting, singing, dancing, poetry and stand-up. We’re giving voice to our community experience of the past three challenging years! Instructor Reed Martin guides the collaborative process, having been involved in the development of new student works at UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, Napa Valley College, and San Joaquin Delta College. Join us for this groundbreaking, fully designed and staged production with all the actors and crew, performing live from their homes. Friday Oct. 23 and Saturday Oct 24 at 7:30PM. Featuring Allison Paine, Riley Craig, Mark Ferrando, Lukas De Bel, Sky Hernandez-Simard, Sierra Downey, Jack Gadberry, Claire Grodrian, Jaclyn Rosas, Lorelei Voegels, Eric Cameron, Kevin Bordi, Christopher... Announcing SRJC’s New Faculty Member in Costume & Makeup, Coleen Scott Trivett! Enrollment is open in Coleen's spring 2021 classes: * THAR 21A Intro to Costume Design... * THAR 22 Theatre Makeup Design * THAR 28 Costume Design * THAR 121.4 Tailoring * THAR 25 Production Lab series, which includes crew members for our online spring productions https://classes.santarosa.edu/ Coleen Scott Trivett is a Costume Designer with an MFA in Costume Design from Boston University, where she received the Kahn award upon graduation. She has worked for nearly 20 years in theater, opera, film, and television. After finishing her Graduate Internship with Academy Award winning costume designer Ann Roth, Coleen worked in television and film with designers Stephanie Maslansky and Tina Nigro. She works with her creative partner, photographer Ben Trivett, doing makeup and styling for fashion and fine art portrait photography. Coleen taught Costume Production and Makeup for Stage and Studio at Saint Ann's School in Brooklyn, NY from 2005-2018. Most recently, she was the costume designer and technician at Ventura College in Ventura, California.
