It was a beautiful day to kick off the week, and the dogs enjoyed warm weather, water, toys and of course, lots of play time celebrating today's very important holiday - MLK Day! The time is always right to do what’s right. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

We’re posting a cutie shout-out today! Meet Miss Lucy who is an adorable toy Australian Shepard. She’s not only a regular social butterfly in our daycare program but she also just graduated from our 10-day Play & Train program. If Lucy were a human, she would be three grades above her grade-level! She LOVES to learn new behaviors and picks them up quickly looking for us to give her another cue. Perhaps it is the little treats she gets for rewards or perhaps she is just as smart and eager as she is adorable. Her great attitude in the play yard and love of all the pet attendants definitely makes any day Lucy visits a happy day!

It was toys on Tuesday here at Springdale today! From balls, rings and feather chasers to pets and their attendants, everyone had a terrific Tuesday! Hope yours was just as fun!

Sometimes a dog just wants to dig! This group of regular daycare buddies took turns trying to dig the most impressive hole they could yesterday. And.... it ended up quite impressive! Of course we filled it all back in when they were done, and we are always happy to rinse off anyone needing a good wash down after all the fun!

The dogs were out strutting their stuff in the cooler weather yesterday and we got some fun pics that we thought we would share!

Wikipedia tells us that "Goofing off is a slang term for engaging in recreation or an idle pastime while obligations of work or society are neglected." It's a good thing that these pups don't have too many work and societal obligations as they sure love to goof off!

As Albert Ellis said "The goal of all life is to have a ball." The dogs certainly get it!

Meet Carl, Patrick and Will who are adopted retired racers! We just love their mom who has dedicated time to adopting these wonderful pups. Most greyhounds are retired between 3 and 5 years of age and make wonderful pets with long lives ahead of them. They are low maintenance, gentle and laid back dogs who contrary to what many believe, don't need a lot of exercise. With tracks closing around the country due to COVID-19, many more have come up for adoption. If you have room in your home and want a super cool companion, please consider greyhound adoption!

We always get a kick of out social dogs that know and recognize their doggie pals. Even those that have not seen each other for a while but typically play together will greet one another with excited exuberance when meeting up again. Dogs truly remember each other, and we love to see them so thrilled when meeting their friends again at the pet ranch!
