I took a survey over the weekend of how many times we used to tan in a tanning bed and the result was that 64% of us tanned 3-5 times per week in a tanning bed! That is hours per week consumed to upkeep our tan as well as hours of exposure to damaging UV rays. When I first started spray tanning my son was an infant so he would always sleep with me and we ended up giving him the nickname black foot bc he would always end up with my spray tan on his foot and I would end up with a footprint on my thigh or stomach. While it was entertaining, I found that a few simple modifications can be taken to prevent our tan from getting messed up and to simplify the cleanup process. Spray tans are very durable- even with a foot print or hand print from the night before, it usually showers off pretty even and unnoticeable to everyone else.

I’m too tan... said no one ever GTL used to be my jam. I’d hit the gym followed by a trip to the tanning salon to soak up the UV in a high pressure bed slathered in ultra dark, ultra expensive tanning lotion. Five days a week, 15 minutes to the salon, 30 mins in the salon and 15 minutes home. And hour every day to be tan. My skin was getting spotty and leathery and I even got fungus at one point. Gross. Then I got pregnant and couldn’t tolerate the heat of the beds anymore... so I started to spray. To my surprise, I was able to get darker in one spray than with weeks of tanning in a tanning bed. I needed only one trip per weekend no expensive daily lotions. My skin quality improved and now people always say what baby soft skin I have. My teeth look whiter, my body looks more toned, and my abs look more cut. Even though I workout and live a healthy lifestyle I’ve always struggled with cellulite, freckles, and stretch marks.
