Tonight's 530 All-call. Have a great day... ~Mr. Jones _________________________________________... Good evening Loyalton High School families, this is Mr. Jones with your weekend update. Tomorrow begins the second semester. 7th and 8th grade students will switch their electives on their next A day which will be Wednesday. Tomorrow is a B day. Semester report cards will be going home in the mail later this week. For next semester we are urging students to use their study halls and flex time wisely in order to stay on track in classes. Also, an after school tutoring schedule will be created this week to provide student with additional help. Life Touch photography will be on Campus Wednesday for photo retakes. Did you know the LHS daily morning announcements are posted to PowerSchool. Check your powerschool app for details. Thank you for continuing to check your student for symptoms of COVID 19 daily and continuing to encourage your student to wear their facial coverings properly while at school. Tonight's 530pm Weekend Update. ~Mr. Jones __________________________________________________ Good evening Loyalton High School Parents and Students. Happy thanksgiving week!... We are hopeful that we are on track for the return of in-person instruction on November 30th. We are still monitoring the situations within our district to make certain that they have improved. Students and parents are to be commended for your resilience during this time. It is not easy for any of us. It is important to keep distance learning contingencies in place when they are needed. In order to mitigate outbreaks within our school population, we may have to distance learn from time to time as conditions warrant it. We need to all do our part in slowing the spread so that conditions never warrant it. Please do all the things we already know to do: social distancing; facial coverings; and avoiding large crowded events or situations. There are a coupe of helpful places to you can check to monitor your students progress. You can be invited to your student’s google classroom or monitor powerschool. Both are online, real-time reflections of assignments. You can also call or email teachers during asynchronous learning times in the afternoon. Our School District is in desperate need of bus drivers. SPJUSD will offer bus driver trainning and reimbursement for related costs associated with licensure and certification for successful candidates. The positions are Part-time and approximately 3 hours per day with split morning and afternoon schedule. The salary is $19.20 to $22.47 per hour beginning wage. If we are unable to find bus drivers the District may be forced to reduce transportation service. If you are interested or know someone who might be interested in this position please contact the District Office at 530-993-1660. From all of us here at LHS please enjoy a happy thanksgiving with your families, stay safe out there and go grizzlies.
