Dear Valued Donors, Friends and Family, After many months of contemplation and discussions, the Board Members of Spectra Project have come to the conclusion that we would be more effective assisting our LTBTQ brothers and sisters by closing Spectra Project and supporting larger non profit organizations with the same mission. Through your past support to Spectra, you have directly assisted hundreds of refugees escaping their homes in the Middle East and North African regions b...y housing them in the Safe Houses, first in Turkey, and, most recently, in Greece. Supported by ORAM through Safe Place International, the safe house in Greece is, fortunately, still housing LGBTQ refugees. Spectra Project's work, supported by your donations, lives on, now under the umbrella of ORAM. Moving forward, our individual Board Members will be supporting the international non profit, www.ORAM.org whose values and mission are very close to our own. Please click on their website and read about their work. We would like to thank everyone who has volunteered and offered time and hard earned money to Spectra Project in the past, and we urge you to continue to support LGBTQ refugees by making all future donations to www.Oram.org. Thank you again, and we hope you and your loved ones are safe and well during this time. Respectfully, Bradford Mattin and Board Members Ellen Greenblatt, Helene Silverberg, and Michael Wolchansky
Update on the situation in Lesbos.
Please donate today to ORAM or safeplaceInternational.org to help with this disaster.
Inspiring to everyone.
A powerful story of a transgender black woman making changes in San Francisco for the good.
The coming weeks will be a huge challenge for the migrant communities in Greece.
This is exactly why we do what we do. When someone is forced to flee their family, home and country purely because they are LGBTQ is terrifying. Spectra Project is here to help thanks to your donations.
Supporting and respecting the fight of black trans women. Many of the family we support in the Middle East and N. African regions have started their transition only to be put in male refugee camps.
We need to help all of our LGBTQ sisters and brothers find a way to a new life where these atrocities are not a part of their daily life. Shared from Justin Hamilton w. Safe Place International. By donating today, you can make a difference in their lives. https://www.pinknews.co.uk//gay-trans-syria-conflict-rape/
Mom2Mom is the sister shelter to the one Spectra has sponsered in the past. Such an amazing organization.
