Happy Monday SPCF Over and over again, God’s people and church are compared to a body. And a body must be unified and working together cohesively in order to work properly. Each and every one of us is each so different. But there is so much beauty in that. In fact, it shows God’s immense attention to detail and sovereignty. If we were all exactly the same, then nothing would happen productively. We bring out the good in each other and have different giftings from God. We ...must let our differences unite us and not push us into isolation or bitterness. We can accomplish nothing in division and chaos. How we interact with each other as believers speaks volumes to the world. Disunity and division only distracts from our God-given purpose. Dwelling in bitterness and condescension towards one another makes people think that we serve a God of hate and pettiness. At all times we are representing God. So let’s unify where we can. Let’s come together on the essentials and give abundant grace on the non-essentials. Only one person has a perfect theology and worldview and that’s Jesus. All of us miss the mark and get it wrong. But God is so gracious! And we are called to be like Him. The Bible calls us to unity. So let’s reflect on where we can let go of some of the condescension and judgement and show the same grace and love that Jesus shows us daily, hourly, and moment by moment. Happy Monday SPCF Lately, there seem to have been so many prayers for God to heal our land. Our land that seems to be experiencing so much turmoil, anxiety, uncertainty, and disunity. Everyone wants some healing, some solution. But we seem to be seeing a lack of the first part of this verse being put into action. If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, an...d I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Have we been praying not just for healing but for our own hearts? Have we taken on a spirit of humility and repentance during this time? Are we seeking God’s face for more than just healing? Are we seeking Him for who He is. Are we going to His word with an attitude of wanting to know Him deeper? This week let’s remember to truly seek God and seek Him in a deep and personal way. Not to fix everything around us, but to fix us on a personal level so that we can be the change and the healing. If you feel led this week, Pastor challenged all of us to fast once a week and use that time to pray and seek God’s face. Canned Food Drive! We will be partnering with the Redwood Gospel Mission once again this year for their Thanksgiving project. We have committed to providing 450 cans each of green beans and corn. There will be crates available for you to bring your donation of cans of green beans and corn for the first 3 Sundays of November. Let’s meet this goal and help provide a Thanksgiving meal to local families this year!!!

Happy Monday This week, let’s all try to remember before we say or do anything, that we are in desperate need of just as much miraculous grace as anyone else. Jesus came and died for us all at our very worst. We are no better than anyone else. God has shown us this wonderful grace and we are called to be gracious to everyone else as a testament to that. Remembering how much we need God’s grace and how good He has been to us can help us to pause and remember how to tre...at others. It is good when Gods people can live in unity! And we can only do that when we remember how much we all need Him equally. We are not enough on our own. We need God’s grace. When we love God and remember how good He has been to us, then we can truly love our neighbors. I’m part of the fellowship of the unashamed. The die has been cast. I have stepped over the line. The decision has been made. I’m a disciple of His. I won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. My past is redeemed, my present makes sense, my future is secure. I’m finished and done with low living, sight walking, small planning, smooth knees, colorless dreams, tamed visions, mundane talking, cheap living, and dwarfed goals. I no longer need preeminence, prosp...erity, position, promotion, plaudits, or popularity. I don’t have to be right, first, tops, recognized, praised, regarded, or rewarded. I now live by faith. And I lean on His presence. And I walk by patience. I’m lifted by prayer, and I labor by power. My face is set, my gait is fast, my goal is heaven, my road is narrow, my way is rough, my companions are few, but my Guide is reliable, and my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, deluded, or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won’t give up, I won’t shut up, and I won’t let up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and preached up for the cause of Christ. For I am a disciple of Jesus.
