Last night we were surprised by a visit by none other than AAU National Executive Committee and Regional Director, (Grand Master) GM Thac Nguyen, to award Master Uy and Coach Kristopher Uy- AAU commendation certificates for contribution and development of Taekwondo. Award was signed by AAU President GM Stone and was to be presented at the AAU Pacific Regionals until COVID shutdown prevented that from happening. We humbly accept this award on behalf of Sparta coaching staff... and students. Thank you GM Stone, GM Nguyen and all AAU officers and staff for this award.

Dear Sparta Families: Due to the fires in the surrounding areas the air quality around Walnut Creek has deteriorated to hazardous level and predicted to remain this way till 8pm tonight. Since this announcement is coming out late, we will still hold classes today but we will modify the workouts to a light workout. However, we would advise for everyone to stay home if possible. ... FRIDAY POOMSEA CLASS - CANCELLED We will not have any poomsea class on Friday, Team Sparta will hold a very light workout on Friday night. WEEKEND CLASS - SATURDAY We will monitor the situation tomorrow to make any announcements for Saturday class. Should there be no announcements assume class will continue.
