Varicose veins are swollen, enlarged veins that occur when blood returning to the heart pools inside the vein. Any superficial vein in the body can become swollen or twisted, but the most commonly affected veins are those in the legs. This is due to the fact that walking and standing increases the pressure in the veins in the lower body and legs. Bulging, dark-colored varicose veins are not only unsightly, but they can cause pain and discomfort and may also lead to more seri...ous medical problems such as bleeding, blood clots, and ulcers. The appropriate method of treatment for varicose veins is determined based on the patient’s overall health and the size, severity, and location of the varicose veins. If you have varicose veins or are experiencing leg pain we can help. Call to schedule a consultation at one of our five Central Valley locations.

Any idea how much sugar is actually in those 16 ounces of specialty deliciousness? About 11 teaspoons! One way to lower your risk of developing Diabetes which contributes to vascular disease is to eat a healthy, balanced diet, eliminating or significantly reducing your consumption of sugar. Now go grab that skim milk and natural sugar substitute for your morning coffee.

Do you exercise regularly? Lack of exercise causes the pooling of blood which causes veins to bloat, twist and turn into spider and varicose veins. Our providers are available for vein consultations at each of our five locations: Visalia, Hanford, Porterville, Tulare and Fresno.
