Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks Hosting Town Hall With Ann O’Leary, Chief of Staff to Governor Gavin Newsom Assemblywoman Buffy Wicks (D-Oakland) will host an evening Town Hall with Ann O’Leary, Chief of Staff to Governor Gavin Newsom, on Monday, August 12th in Berkeley. ... They will discuss the recently passed state budget and Governor Newsom’s California for All agenda. Asm. Wicks and Ann O’Leary will also share insights into what they’ve learned in their first six months in their respective positions in Sacramento. The Town Hall will take place at the Berkeley City College Auditorium with 150 guests expected to attend. Doors open at 6:00 pm, with the discussion at 6:30 pm and ending at 8:00 pm. The event is free and open to the public. Ann O’Leary serves as Chief of Staff for California Governor Gavin Newsom. She was appointed to the position in November 2018, having previously served as a Senior Policy Advisor to Hillary Clinton.
