Soroptimist Oakmont Wine Country

Millions of women and girls in economically disadvantaged areas of the world suffer from period poverty, the inability to obtain needed menstrual sanitary supplies. Each club in Founder Region was asked to make period kits, containing washable and reusable menstrual supplies. The kits will be sent to an SI club in Kenya, where they will be donated to local schoolgirls. These kits will help girls continue their school attendance, as girls are often confined to home during their monthly periods. Pictured is our club member Pat Veuve, with one of the two kits she crafted for this Service Project. Thank you Pat!

Street Outreach was another success. Thank You Junior League of Napa-Sonoma JLNS for providing us with the the just needed storage to continue our mission.
