Dear Church Family, Thank you for your enthusiasm in preparing to put together shoebox gifts for Operation Christmas Child. These gifts touch children's hearts across the world and show them God's love in a tangible way! If you would like to put together your own shoebox, please refer to the pamphlets in the church narthex or the Operation Christmas Child website for guidance (links included below). Start with an average-size cardboard or plastic shoebox. If you want to wrap ...it, cover the box and lid separately. Decide whether you will pack a box for a girl or a boy, and the age category: 24, 59, or 1014. Select a medium to large wow item such as a soccer ball with pump or stuffed animal, then fill with other fun toys, hygiene items, and school supplies. Most importantly, pray for the child who will receive your gift. You can also include a personal note and photo. Donate $9 online and receive a label to Follow Your Box and discover the destination of your shoebox gift. Take your shoebox gift to a local drop-off location during National Collection Week, Nov. 1825, 2019. If you'd like to contribute toward a box with others from the church and/or have the Kintner kids do the gift shopping for you, please bring your donations to the church, marked "Shoebox Donation", by Sunday, November 10th. If you would like to bring your completed shoebox to me to deliver to a drop-off location, please do so by Sunday, November 17th. Please let me know if you have any further questions!
