We are now taking sign ups for our next Virtual Zoom Tea Tasting (#8). We'll take you step by step through the proper techniques for brewing and you will hear background from an historical perspective. The lineup for Virtual Tea Tasting #8 is as follows: 1. There's still time to sign up for our next Zoom Virtual Tea Tasting, which runs three consecutive Saturdays starting July 25th, and including August 1st and August 8th. The three sessions will cover Yellow tea (First Steps), Red tea (Crimson Needle) and Wulong Cliff tea (Silver Breeze). Emphasis in each of these sessions is on making the tea and understanding Tea Rhythm. We also include a bit of history and processing knowledge. Our next three-part Virtual Zoom Tea Tasting session will begin on the morning of Saturday, July 4th, at 9:30am, then continuing with different teas on July 11th and 18th. Together we will take you step by step through the proper techniques for brewing and you will hear background from an historical perspective and a demonstration of how to do it correctly. We will provide the correct amount of tea leaves to participate in this. For these sessions we will feature Dark Matte...r a fully fermented tea, a raw black tea, Floating Forest, and a red called Gold Summit. You can pick the tea leaves up from Sophie's or you can request we send them to you. There will be a charge of $36 per participant unless we need to mail the tea leaves to you. If we package and send tea leaves there will be a $15 shipping and handling fee. In order to get tea leaves to non local residents you need to sign up by the end of day Tuesday June 30th. You can either use the online portal on our website to pay or you can come to the shop and pay and pick up the tea leaves. We will send you an invitation to the tea tasting later in the week for those who have registered.
