We all have one -- a room, niche, alcove, or outdoor oasis that just fits; that when handed a few free hours and your favorite beverage beckons you to unwind, refresh, and recharge. Maybe it’s in your bedroom with a juicy book or binge-worthy show, in your kitchen laser-focused on an exotic recipe, or on your screened porch lounging with your four-legged BFF. What is that space for you? Where in your home do you go day after day to unwind? ... Share in the comments below -- I’d LOVE to know! See more

If you’re thinking about adding real estate investor to your resume, you want to know the clearest and quickest path to a profit. So while you’ve got to be ready to ride the market’s highs and lows, here are a few common ways investors make bank month after month: 1. Long-term residential rentals: People will always need a place to live but keep in mind, location is everything when it comes to real estate. Seriously, everything!... 2. Lease purchase: Lease purchase is a smart way to get involved without having to put up significant capital. Plus, if you lock in when the market is climbing, you can potentially purchase later with built-in equity. 3. Home-renovation flips: Thanks to the popularity of home renovation shows, no explanation is needed for this one (Think Fixer Upper, Flip or Flop?, and Love It or List It). 4. Short sales: A short sale is when a homeowner is behind on their mortgage but not yet in foreclosure. This can be a great opportunity to make a quick profit without investing in lengthy renovations. One heads-up: You usually need to pay for short sales in cash. 5. Vacation rentals: Investors can make some serious income from vacation rentals -- especially if the property is in an hot, in-demand tourist area. There are dozens of ways to make money as an investor -- too many to list here! But if you’re serious about taking the plunge, shoot me a message, and let’s set up a time to discuss. See more

You’ve seen it everywhere -- and every time, you think, GAH, that looks AMAZING! Know the trend? Yep, wallpaper accent walls. Savvy home decorators have snatched a page right out of their mentors’ 1980s playbook and are embracing wallpaper once again with a modern twist and a bit more sophistication. Wanna give it a try? If you’ve got the wall, some willing friends, and free Saturday, here are a few tips to get you rollin’:... 1. Choose your color, style, and pattern. Look at as many pics as you can, but since this is an accent wall, don’t be afraid to go bold. 2. Read the instructions carefully. Seriously, skimming won’t do. There is more than one kind of paper and they aren’t all applied the same way. If you’re not careful, you’ll end up with a goopy mess instead of a stunning wall. 3. Go ahead and cover the outlets as you go. When everything is dry, you go back and cut off the excess paper. 4. Smooth wallpaper from the center towards the edge. This will get rid of air bubbles instead of just moving them around. With these tips (and few easy-to-follow video tutorials), you can take a room from ho-hum to heck-yeah in just a few short hours. Wondering what other improvements you can make to your home that will offer a return when you sell? Send me a message -- I’d love to share the top upgrades for 2021! See more
