Valentine’s Day is coming soon and even though we don’t take reservations anymore we have decided to offer some reservations for that night. Since we have such a limited number of tables on our patio we have time slots from 5:00-7:00 that people can sign up for. We will have a 90 minute time limit on the tables so that we can accommodate more people & please don’t be more than 10 minutes late for your table or we will have to give it to the next customer. ... So give us a call and make your reservation now before time slots fill up! We will have our regular delicious menu, no expensive Prix Fixed menus at SOLA:). Like all restaurant owners (who are following the health guidelines and rules) we are so sad that we have no light at the end of the tunnel when it comes to a date that we can re-open the patio. To say this is a difficult time is an understatement! We have negotiated a reasonable commission rate for a delivery app that we will hopefully have set up next week so that’s something to look forward to. If 2020 has shown us anything it’s that we are all stronger than we think we are, sometime we just have to be. But like all of you we can’t wait to be able to relax a bit, visit friends & family, go on vacations, just get back to some kind of normal even if it isn’t the way it used to be. And in some ways that’s ok too, we were forced to really face the challenges that are right in front of us that we usually ignore & we can’t ignore them anymore. So let’s make 2021 a year of recovery, gratitude, love & compassion. We can’t wait to have you all back inside and we are looking forward to hugging every one of you, lol. Happy 4 Year Anniversary! We can’t believe it has been 4 years since we first opened SOLA! It has gone by so fast (except this year, lol) and we have met so many amazing people and made so many friends. ... My husband Tom and I and all of our amazing staff are so grateful for all the love and support that San Leandro has shown us. When we were day dreaming about opening our own place we always said we wanted more than anything for it to be a place that friends and family would come to for birthdays, celebrations, even weddings (shout out to Brittany & Mike!) and a real part of the community and it really feels like we’ve done that. Of course this year has been the hardest year that I know any of us have ever experienced and even though things haven’t been the same let’s all hold onto hope and the memories we have of all the great times we have had at SOLA & will have in the future.
