Today the Sonoma County Sheriffs Office K9 Unit participated in a fundraiser for K9s United (based out of Florida) to honor the fallen K9s throughout the nation.... The K9 teams ran a 5k in honor of Sonoma County’s own K9 Mako who unexpectedly passed away this April after suffering a medical emergency during training. An excessive heat watch has just been issued for several counties surrounding the Sonoma Valley reaching well into the interior Valley of Central California. Wh...ile we benefit from the coastal Marine influence on the West Side of the Sonoma Valley, temperatures are expected to climb increasing fire danger and increasing potential health impacts. Keep alert and be watchful of signs of heat injury in family and pets! Prevention of heat illness and taking thoughtful actions surrounding activities that could spark a fire will help our Sonoma Valley to beat the heat! #sonomastrong #readysetgo #preparetoday #SVFDhereforyou See more
