A novel written by "Pearls Before Swine" cartoonist and Santa Rosa resident Stephan Pastis has been turned into a movie premiering at the famed Sundance Film Festival in Utah later this month Pastis is making his screenwriting debut with "Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made." Heads Up, LOCAL FILM SHOOT: Petaluma native and wunderkind, Ethan Paisley, is producing a feature-length thriller to be shot partially in Healdsburg & Petaluma ...in early February 2020. The film is titled "Fuzzy Head" and it's a psychological thriller about a girl who goes on the run after she thinks she kills her mother, and must undergo childhood memories to uncover the truth: her mother killed herself. It will be directed by Slamdance-winning director Wendy McColm. ***Filmmakers will be in Healdsburg Feb 2-Feb 8 and are looking for the following: - Locations (including retro homes, motels, whore house lookalike, beach, open field) for 1 day of filming each - Picture Vehicles (1980s White Mercedes Wagon, 1980s White Mercedes 240d) for 1 day of filming - Free/discounted lodging for 10 crew members, 5 cast members for the 6 days of filming (a majority of our cast/crew will be traveling in from LA) - Meal donations or discounts for the 6 days of filming If you'd like to take part, leave a message here and we'll be sure to connect you to Ethan directly. Metallica is joining the list of celebrities who have stepped up to support Kincade fire survivors in Sonoma County with a $50,000 donation to the Community Foundation Sonoma County's Resilience Fund The group is no stranger to helping out after a disaster.
