Founder and owner of Sol Therapy Services, Yesenia Sanchez, LCSW, obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from University of Southern California in 2007. In 2012, Yesenia earned her Master of Social Work degree from California State University-Long Beach with a concentration in children, youth and families. Since 2005, Yesenia has been working in the mental health field helping adults and families facing distressing events and situations in their lives. Early in her career, Yesenia dedicated her work to helping survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence obtain the support needed to find safety, feel empowered, and begin the process of healing. In 2007, Yesenia began focusing on early intervention to provide mental health services to children ages 0-5 and their families, located in underserved areas of Los Angeles. After completing her graduate studies in 2012, Yesenia relocated to Orange County to continue promoting the well-being of children/youth, families, and adults affected by anxiety, depression, family/peer conflict, behavior problems, and traumatic experiences. Over the course of her career, Yesenia has received training in various treatment modalities including Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Integrative Treatment of Complex Trauma (ITCT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Functional Family Therapy (FFT), Incredible Years (IY), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and a variety of other treatment approaches.
