Are you with Southern California Edison (SCE) for your Utility? If so, pay attention as your rates are about to increase... and not by a little - by a lot! Recently SCE filed a General Rate Case application with the California Public Utilities Commission proposing rate increases for it's residential customers starting in 2021. The increase is due to "cover its anticipated costs from 2021 through 2024 for its employees to inspect, repair, and, when appropriate, upgrade poles, ...transformers and distribution lines. This includes reducing wildfire risk and upkeeping the safety of the grid." When this rate increase goes live, residential customers electricity rates will increase from an avg of 18.1 cents/kWh to 20.7 cents/kWh which is a staggering increase of 14.4%! This is all documented by SCE itself in this doc if you'd like to go through it, https://go.solarpowermills.com/SCErates What are some of the ways you're planning on keeping your energy usage costs down as low as possible?
