New data from our partners at SAMHSA shows that current smoking among adults with a behavioral health condition continues to decrease at a statistically significant level. The National Partnership on Behavioral Health and Tobacco Use has provided the most recent numbers from NSDUH showing that 28.9% of adults with any behavioral health condition smoked. This is down from 30.2% in 2018.

According to a new study led by researchers at the Stanford University School of Medicine, vaping is linked to a substantially increased risk of COVID-19 among teenagers and young adults. Among young people who were tested for the virus that causes COVID-19, the research found that those who vaped were five to seven times more likely to be infected than those who did not use e-cigarettes.
