We will have experts and community leaders to address the following issues, and others, and answer questions: 1. Debris Removal... What are the pros and cons of signing the Right of Entry Form and having FEMA and the County perform cleanup? Can I use a private contractor for debris removal? What is the likely timeline for this process to be completed? 2. Rebuilding What should I be doing now to ensure that I can rebuild as quickly as possible once the fire debris is removed from my lot? How can I locate a contractor and what questions should I be asking? 3. Insurance Claims What are my rights in the claims process? How can I maximize my claim amount? What if I decide not to rebuild? Where can I go if I have problems with my insurance company or adjuster? 4. Mortgage Payments How can I reduce the amount I pay my mortgage company during rebuilding? How will my lender handle my insurance proceeds? 5. Liability Are any other entities potentially liable for losses that are not covered by insurance? We are focused on assisting our community and recognize that many questions are being left unanswered.
