Shrub & Tree Planting September is a great time to refurbish your landscape. Planting trees and shrubs now allows the plants to establish themselves before spring.... Color Shows Annuals like Pansies, Mums, Iceland Poppies, and Cyclamen do well in the fall/winter weather and add a fantastic pop of color to your landscape. Lawns - September is the time for aeration and fertilization. Grass should be mowed higher than 2.5 this allows the turf to provide shade for the roots and preserve water. We feel so fortunate that our local community can breathe a little easier this week. It has been incredible to see the brilliance and energy of all the fire departments and first responders working together to combat this fire. There's still more hard work that they are doing, since it's not over for others and our hearts go out to those that have lost homes and to where the fires still burn.
