We recently took him to a grocery store for the first time and he was absolutely amazed! There is so much more to the world and you will learn it at your own speed. Dream Big. Find Your Passion. Never Give up. . My mother always told me that as long as I give it my all, she can not fault me. This has been my motto in life: To give my all in everything that I do. . Growing up, my parents pushed me towards a career in medicine. I was pre-med throughout most of college and put in countless hours shadowing doctors and volunteering in the hospital. However, I realized that I was never excited when I entered the hospital. In fact, it e...ventually became somewhat of a chore. Ironically, it was on a medical mission trip, where I realized that I may be more interested in dentistry. . Upon returning from the mission trip, I began exploring dentistry. I quickly realized that this was the field for me. I was excited to go to these offices. I was eager to learn and absorb. I discovered my passion and I have never looked back. . During dental school, I kept my mind open. I wanted to explore all aspects of dentistry and to take in as much as I could. I woke up early on Wednesdays to round with the oral surgeons. I shadowed numerous endodontists and assisted with their procedures. I performed many periodontal surgeries. I worked with the little kiddos and provided their dental care. In the end, I realized that my favorite part of dentistry is orthodontics. . Upon realizing this, I worked hard every day to get into the residency program that I dreamed of, that being UCLA. Since becoming an orthodontist, my goal is to provide the best care and most amazing patient experience for anyone that comes into the office. . It is such an amazing feeling doing what you love. Cheers to our first child, Blake! . In the midst of starting our office AND getting our bearings on our latest addition, James, we have definitely spent less time with our first born. We try hard to limit television and to spend as much quality time with him. Nevertheless, we still cannot give him the same amount of attention as we did before. . I want to describe how amazing Blake has been in dealing with our new life events. Not only does he look forward to seein...g his brother when he comes back from day care, the first thing he does is he asks to kiss him. While he can be jealous at times, his overall behavior at home has been a dream. Not to mention, Blake also understands when daddy has to go to the office and always behaves like a champ every time I bring him with me. . While it has been chaotic in our house, the saving grace has been Blake’s big brother mentality and willingness to be a team player. I am so grateful and proud of this little dude. . .
