We are so happy to announce the launch of our latest program, Connect and Breathe with the FRC! This free program is for Parents and Caregivers of children with special needs and it is a program where parents can connect with others and learn breathing, mindfulness, and relaxation techniques together. Our friends/counterparts from the Noth Bay, the Matrix Parent Network and Resource Center will be offering a wonderful webinar entitled Flipping the Script: Prioritizing the Autistic Voice in the Understanding of Scripting as Key to Autistic Identity. Matrix welcomes back Dr. Colleen Arnold to discuss the results of her doctoral research on how scripting (or delayed echolalia) is beneficial to autistic* individuals, specifically in the area of communication.
