I can’t wait to be watching this Maui Sunset tomorrow night! Have some last minute packing and errands to run before our flight tomorrow morning so I’m up getting all that done now. I’m so beyond ready for this vacation and getting to visit our Wedding Venue! ... I will be out of the office starting tomorrow and will return the 15th.

The house we are using has a beautiful kitchen space where I will be setting up a scene there, a clawfoot bathtub in the bathroom for those brave enough to get in the water and will have a gorgeous bedroom setup as well! ... Hair and makeup will be included!! I will also have some drinks and snacks! AND of course I will be taking all the necessary Covid Precautions! Alexa, play Christmas Music This is literally my favorite time of year and look how dang cute baby Preston is! I’ve been catching up on so many edits and messages I need to take a little break today. I’m super behind on my decorating so my mom and I are going to decorate my house today so I can finally welcome the holiday cheer into my home! And then a photo shoot tonight. This weekend was a busy one between being in Bodega Bay and then immediately in Yosemite but it was also a beautiful one!! Sometimes I think I need to pinch myself just to make sure I’m not dreaming I get to work with some of the most amazing people and I am just beyond over the moon

Happy Boss Day to ME!!! I’ve been my own boss for 3.5 years and I gotta just pat myself on the back today. I am a badass I’ve had sessions every single day since May. 15 weddings in the last 7 weeks and was maid of honor/coordinator/photographer at my best friends wedding this past weekend. And if you know me, I’m always going above and beyond of what is asked of me on wedding days! ... I have a maternity session tonight and then getting up early to head to a wedding in Bodega Bay... right after the wedding the plan is to drive overnight for a sunrise engagement session in Yosemite and then immediately back into Sacramento for an evening mommy and me session! And then of course a session every day until the end of November after that. Behind the scenes I’m culling, editing and having over 20 conversations going at once, daily (oh and you know, trying to live a normal life of cleaning the house, taking care of my pets, spending quality time with my man, family and friends..) I was supposed to have an assistant start a month ago that didn’t work out so have a couple interviews next week to hopefully help me streamline everything soon! I have also scheduled 6 weeks off starting mid December into January. I’ll be revamping some of my business during this time, gearing up to start other business ideas, going to Hawaii to visit our wedding venue and then I plan to take a few days to go and visit Alaska and do a workshop with a fellow photographer. I’m really looking forward to this cause I am exhausted lately and really could use some me time! Being your own boss is super cool but still very tiring. I work my dang ass off more than I ever did at an office job. However, this job of mine is so beyond rewarding and I get to be apart of so many peoples lives. Super blessed Today will be filled with editing, messaging, shooting and prepping for this weekend
