Hello Archers! San Jose State University Club Archery is happy to announce that we are hosting our first event ever, Spartan 600. We would like to formally invite you to participate in our free event! This casual competitive shoot is the club saying "thank you" for helping us in any way you could with our stolen equipment. Fortunately, we were able to raise enough money to repurchase all of the lost equipment! The Spartan 600 is an outdoor competition of 2 rounds. The distanc...e will be 20 yards and the target face will be a 40 cm FITA 10 ring. Each archer will shoot 3 arrows per end with a total of 60 arrows. After the first round is complete, there will be a 15-minute break--then the final round will begin. Awards are given out to the top 3 archers and food and drinks will be free for shooters only! Please fill out this form so we can plan accordingly for the number of archers attending. Please keep in mind that we have limited bales, so we are limited to only 80 participants. As space is limited, the sign-ups will be on a first come, first serve basis. https://goo.gl/forms/PQhr4GwS6CbMAxiK2 If you have any questions or concerns, shoot us an email at [email protected] Location: Black Mountain Bowmen Archery Club & Range Avenida Espana, San Jose, CA 95139 Date: Saturday--November 11, 2017 Time: Registration: 7:30 AM Warm-up: 8:30 AM sharp Start 9:00 AM

Good evening everyone! This is a reminder that there is NO practice tomorrow due to us being in the process of getting new equipment. Practice is planned to resume next week, on October 13th. See you then!

SJSU Club Archery 18.01.2020

Hello Everyone, We are SJSU Club Archery and unfortunately prior to 9am this morning (October 1, 2017), our secure storage was found broken into. This is where we keep our club's 30 bows and 10 dozen of arrows - along with other equipment such as finger tabs, arm guards, and tool boxes. The equipment was worth over $3,500. All of the equipment that was stolen has been with us since the start of this club in 2014. Our members have worked hard through fundraising to keep our gr...owing club stable and to make sure there is enough equipment for all club members. The bows may still be in their brown cardboard boxes; approximately 24" x 6" x 2". The bows are classic wooden risers with white limbs made by Easton and Ragim. The arrows are several different lengths and colors, however the main club arrows that were purchased last year have orange and white fletchings (feathers at one end of the arrow). We recently had our first archery practice on September 23 and had about 40 new and potential archers on top of our 15 returning members. This was a new experience for our club as we've never had so many people show interest. We didn't have enough equipment for each student to practice with a bow. We are currently in the process of purchasing additional equipment so that each student can have their own to practice with, but we do not have the budget to replace the stolen equipment as well. So this timing couldn't be worse. We were in the process of renting a public storage for our equipment since SJSU Club Archery has been growing exponentially from the original 3 members. Now, we have enough members to fill the ten administrative roles our club requires. We are extremely hurt to have our equipment stolen from us; however, we're hoping for the best and keeping our heads held high! If you have any information regarding this issue, please message us or email us at [email protected]. Annonymous tips can be left at (408) 947-STOP (7867) or by using this web-form https://www.p3tips.com/TipForm.aspx?ID=504&C=&T= If you would like to assist us in the immediate replacement of the stolen equipment, please go to: https://www.gofundme.com/replacing-stolen-archery-equipment
