They're here! Those who ordered peaches and/or apples for our fundraiser, or those who didn't but want some, pickup is from 4-6:30 p.m. today (Sept. 24) at the San Jacinto school district office. With contactless delivery, we will load the fruit in your vehicle and collect your payment as you remain in your car.

The peaches we sell to raise money for scholarships needed a little more time on the trees to be extra delicious, so pickup has been moved to Thursday, September 24. If you've placed an order, we'll see you then at the San Jacinto Unified School District office. #sanjacintorotary

Member Jim Hall has invited Rev. James Lawson to speak at our meeting this Wednesday (Sept. 9th) at noon. We meet on Zoom, so anyone who is interested in hearing him speak can join us. He was Pastor of Holman United Methodist Church in Los Angeles for 25 years, and one of the founding members of both CORE (Congress of Racial Equality), and FOR (Fellowship of Reconciliation) in the late 50's and 60's. He helped train many of the future leaders of the Civil Rights Movement including: James Bevel, Diane Nash, John Lewis, Bernard Lafayette and Marion Barry. He worked closely with Dr. King and had invited him to speak in Memphis before 15,000 people before he was killed. If you want to join us for this meeting, send a private message and we will share Zoom details.

It's time for peaches and apples, and they're coming soon. Our club will once again be selling juicy Idaho fruit to raise money for our youth and other programs. See the attached flier and contact any San Jacinto Rotarian for details or email [email protected]. Fruit will be available Thursday, Sept. 17.
