This Sunday is World Priest Day! World Priest Day focuses on celebrating the ongoing affirmation of priests who are committed to their Vocation, Sacrament and b...uilding of relationships between couples and priests. It is an opportunity for parishioners to thank, affirm and share their love and support for priests they know and develop relationships with priests they don’t know. We ask that you send your words of encouragement and appreciation to the priests in your parish. Get more info at https://wwme.org/communi/sponsored-events/world-priest-day/

Those who are called to the table of the Lord must glow with the brightness that comes from the good example of a praiseworthy and blameless life. They must co...mpletely remove from their lives the filth and uncleanness of vice. Their upright lives must make them like the salt of the earth for themselves and for the rest of mankind. The brightness of their wisdom must make them like the light of the world that brings light to others. They must learn from their eminent teacher, Jesus Christ, what He declared not only to His apostles and disciples, but also to all the priests and clerics who were to succeed them, when He said: You are the salt of the earth. But what if salt goes flat? How can you restore its flavor? Then it is good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. October 20, 2020 Brothers and sisters in Christ, I hope all is well and I continue to keep you in my prayers.... The outdoor Sunday Masses (including the Saturday Vigil) are going great! Starting this coming weekend the Saturday Vigil ‘sunset’ Mass and the Sunday ‘sunset’ Mass start time will change from 6:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Also, since we are now in the ‘fall’ weather season, please dress warm enough for the outside Mass. We have some great news for our parish! As you may recall, as we announced in January, our PSA (Pastoral Services Appeal) refund money for this year is going towards replacing the 29 year old carpet in the Church. (Next year’s PSA refund will go towards re-varnishing and repairing the pews along with new kneelers for the pews). This week the new carpet is being installed in the Church, so the next time you are inside the Church you will see the beautiful new carpet! Thank you for your continued support donations to the PSA! One other great addition for our Church is that we are getting new Stations of the Cross! They are hand painted icons from Greece, and yet their cost was very reasonable. At a parish ministry meeting in February I mentioned that we might possibly be getting Stations of the Cross icons for the Church. At that same meeting a parishioner generously offered to pay for them! They should be arriving in the next few weeks or so and then we will put them up in the Church! On another note, we recently celebrated the feast day of a great saint St. Ignatius of Antioch. Please go to the website to read my homily. God Bless, Father Jeff See more

Join us in prayer from October 23 to 31 as we pray the All Saints' Novena, led by Fr. Hugh Barbour, O.Praem. https://www.theabbotscircle.com/all-saints-novena/ ...We present this novena at the end of the Church year; as we begin the month of November, which brings to mind the last things the judgment, death, prayer for the souls of the faithful departed, and the hope of the glory of Heaven. So we offer this novena here with the confidence that if we prepare for the celebration of all saints, ending our novena on Halloween that is the evening before All Hallows' Day, that is the evening before All Saints' Day we will benefit from the intercession of all the saints and receive ourselves the outpouring of the grace of the Holy Spirit for all the things that we need.
