When attending a live concert, where do you sit? Many of our audience members like to sit towards the front, and off to the left to ‘see the hands.’ But what if you couldn’t see? ... Personally, I like to sit towards the back, right in the middle, to experience the entire image - the stage, the lights, the instruments, every player, and most of the audience. Slow is fast. I came across this quote and it felt fitting into so many aspect of our life, including of course practice! Each contestant that we meet spends hours upon hours, weeks, months, years working on their craft, on themselves. We get to hear the final product and are in awe. Can you imagine if they had given up after that first hurdle? Or that frustrated passage that just wasn’t ‘clicking?’ ... The dedication and focus that gets build amongst young people is fuel that later will serve them in life to keep going.
