We had a tremendously moving program by Carl Jordan. He told about his experiences in Vietnam and Bangladesh building homes with Habitat for Humanity.

Diego Pérez is only three years old but he was immensely curious as we built his family's Justa cookstove. When he grows up he wants to be a farmer like his dad.... Rotary Clubs of Bocas Del Toro and Newport Beach, work together with Floating Doctors, Give and Surf and Bocas Containers to provide over 60,000 Pounds of Human...itarian Aid. This week we delivered 20,300 pounds of Feed My Starving Children rice boxes to Give and Surf community center transported by volunteers with vehicles and 14 pallets of Feed My Starving Children rice boxes and 2 pallets of soap transported to Floating Doctors base. A very special thanks to Ted Hannig and his company, Bocas Barge. Bocas Barge has been delivering, water, food, and medications throughout the area since the beginning of the pandemic. Dear sister club rotarians, due to our Baja State guidelines (and now we went to: "red tier", California's purple tier ) the school we programmed our 2020 " shoes for souls" (remembering our friend Carlos Harrison). has been notified to halt all and any activities requiring staff and students to attend , this untill we are back to "yellow tier". Our Rotary e-Club was and is ready for our grand event together with you. (All shoes , giftbags, labels , banners, staff) And are v...ery sad that it will not be possible before christmas (the only ocasion in 11 years running shoes for souls ). We are hoping to be in "yellow" around 01/06 (Kings day or 3 wisemen day ), a big celebration in Mexico as big as Christmas and all youngsters are eager to receive gifts from the: "3 wise men". Please have a safe and merry Christmas from the bottom or our hearts, and know we are very grateful and hoping to be able to embrace our fellow rotarians from our sister club personally very soon.
