Good morning SJCA! We apologize for being away for so long. We've had a hectic start to our year. First thing is that we are now housed in the room where the Specialists were at. It's the room next to the cafeteria (cafeteria building). Our extension is still 5111 if you need to contact us. Our email has also changed to [email protected] We have a PTO meeting today from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. We will be going over the elections, room parent info., 2012/2013 budget approval, and membership. Come to find out how you can be on the PTO Board. We hope to see many of you there.

Thank you to all who made our carnival possible. A special Thank You goes out to the volunteers who worked endless hours on preping the signs and decorations, purchasing the snacks/food, putting together the baskets, making phone calls, collecting donations, setting up, working the booths, cleaning up... We would also like to acknowledge the businesses and SJCA families who donated items towards our carnival prizes and raffle baskets. Their names are listed on the carnival ...program. Additional copies of the program will be available in the office this Friday. A very, very special THANK YOU goes out to Theresa Alvarez, Magda Gomez, Mary Hernandez, Maria De La Pena-Kenley, Rosa Robles, Patty Campos, Laura Carrillo, and Elizabeth Hauser for the countless hours they spent preparing for our carnival. We would not have been able to do it without your dedication and your help. Last but not least, THANK YOU to our SJCA Staff and Administration. Your support was another essential part in bringing the carnival back to life. We are slowly rebuilding to what we used to have several years ago before the fire. We think we are off to a good start :0) Together we accomplish great things. Families who have not claimed their carnival baskets/prizes will be contacted this Friday (5/25) to arrange for pick-up. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

It's almost carnival time ........

It's Carnival day! We hope to see you this afternoon enjoying our carnival. A very special thank you goes out to our wonderful volunteers and staff who have spent countless hours preparing for this day. Don't forget to check out the fabulous prize extravaganza items. Tickets are just $1.00 each.

Our carnival is tomorrow. Don't forget to purchase your tickets for our prize extravaganza. There will be many wonderful items for you to try your luck with. Here are just a few: D & B game cards and gift certificates, 4 hours of limousine service, a weekend stay for two, photography sessions with a professional photographer... The tickets for the prize extravaganza will be $1.00 each. These same tickets can be used to purchase the food items as well. Hope to see you all tomorrow.

Help support our carnival by donating a gift card or two. Two easels will be placed in the front of the school. Pick a donation card to any of the places listed. Please remember to fill in the student's name on the back of the card when you send/take the gift card back to the office. Thank you.

Forms for the last t-shirt order for this school year were sent out yesterday. Please check the samples in the office for correct sizes. T-shirt orders cannot be exchanged. Don't forget to send in exact change. Thank you.

Don't forget to send in your un-wanted baskets to the school office. We will be using them to put our fabulous prize extravaganza items together. Raffle tickets for the prize extravaganza will be $1 each. We will also be pre-selling tickets next week. Pre-orders will receive an additional 5 game tickets. The tickets will be available on Friday, May 18th (the carnival date) at a designated table by the front office.

PTO Meeting today @ 8:00 a.m. in the Junior Academy MPR room. Come join us as we prepare four our up-coming carnival. Testing is pretty much over and we have about 1 month left of school. Wow! The excitement for carnival is building up. Take part in this fun event by volunteering and hour or two for your grade-level booth, a food booth, the prize booth...
